Studied with, among others, Professor Ilja Hurník at the Prague Conservatory, then in the class of Professor Peter Toperczer at the Academy of Music in Prague. In 1996 he took a Master´s degree (Meisterklasse) at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich, where he studied with Professor Karl-Hermann Mrongovius. He furthered his training in master classes conducted by Eugen Indjic, Oleg Maisenberg, and Bruno Leonardo Gelber.

Laureate of numerous international piano competitions, including the Citta di Marsala and Citta di Senigallia contests in Italy (1989, 1990), he works with Czech and international orchestras, apart from pursuing his career as a soloist and sought-after chamber player, touring across Europe, as well as in Asia and Africa. His creative partners have included Jiří Bárta, Daniel Müller-Schott, Josef Suk, Konrad Jarnott, the Škampa Quartet, and many others. He has appeared at, among other venues, London´s Wigmore Hall, the Casino Grand Hall in Basel, the Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris, or the Schleswig-Holstein Festival in Germany.

He combines his concert career with teaching piano at Munich´s Hochschule für Musik.
