Has to this day conducted the majority of leading Czech orchestras, apart from which he has become known to international audiences in various countries, including Japan. He studied conducting at the Academy of Music in Prague.

Later on, in his professional career, he worked with the National Theatre in Prague, among other projects notably (as conductor and arranger) on its production of Jiří Suchý and Jiří Šlitr´s opera, A Well Paid Walk. He has likewise been active in the field of music promotion.

He was behind a widely popular series of concerts for junior audiences, organized for several years in association with the Czech Philharmonic. He has continued to draw on his experience in this area during his tenure with the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice, by mounting concerts for families with children, and a series for students.
