Graduated for the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris, studied in Canada and then in Amsterdam before receiving various prizes for clarinet and chamber music at the international competitions of Paris, Toulon and Vierzon.
He is regularly invited to play with top European formations: European Chamber Orchestra, National Orchestra of France, Orchestra of the Paris Opera, Orchestre de Paris and many others. Michel Raison is also a professor of French-Czech Academy of Music in Telč

Michel Raison has performed as soloist under the direction of Christopher Hogwood at the Festival of Aix en Provence with Symphonia Europa, but also with the Philharmonic Orchestra of Radio-France, and the Calgary Philharmonic.
