He studied didgeridoo in Canberra, Australia. His unmistakeably individual performing style propels him onto a trajectory of discovering new, previously uncharted fields of didgeridoo playing, and enhancing the instrument´s sonic potential by several orders, a pursuit posing a major challenge to contemporary interpreters.
The masterfully harmonized and meticulously timed structuring of his immaculate rendition conjures up a powerful impression in many a listener of hearing a group of players at work, or of the involvement of playback and sampling devices. He is featured as a guest on the “Prague” album of the Australian didgeridoo player Ian Wood. The two formed an outfit, Wooden Toys.
Apart from Ian Wood, his other creative partners have included Monika Načeva, the Hradec Králové Philharmonic Orchestra, Monkey Business, Čechomor or Jaz Coleman. A pioneer of Czecho-Slovak didgeridoo music, he currently devotes most of his time to concert appearances, and organizing didgeridoo playing seminars for beginners and advanced learners.
