Is a leading Czech actor. After graduation from the Academy of Drama in Prague in 1975, he was active chiefly in various studio-size drama companies (Studio Ypsilon; Činoherní klub, and others), apart from which he guest appeared at the National Theatre in Prague. He has cultivated a close affinity for music, as a former percussion and guitar player and in his student days a member of a rock band for which he also wrote music. His manly good-looks and voice have predestined him for parts of tough, masculine guys, both on stage and on the screen.
