4/6 – 11/6 2010 4th Kutná Hora International Music Festival under the auspices of Mrs. Livia Klausova, wife of the President of the Czech Republic
Welcome Speech
Dear Friends,

the fourth edition of the Kutná Hora International Music Festival has finished
on 11th of June with Postludium. I am confident that this year, too, its programme
has not disappointed you. We have decided to locate most of the concerts to the
Church of St. Barbara, where we have managed to install a special screen and a
platform, thus obtaining a space that has proved commensurable in terms of
acoustics with a standard concert hall.
We have enjoyed enormously the Festival appearances of top-class artists. We
would like to thank you, members of the audience, as without your support and
encouragement the atmosphere in these fascinating historical surroundings could
never be what we have become accustomed to thanks to the experience of previous
years. We wish to thank the Festival's corporate partners for their continued
support notwithstanding the current worldwide economic crunch.
